What a wonderful place! Tania and her husband made myself and my dog Lola very welcome. Such lovely people and excellent accommodation. Great location, beautiful and very peaceful but within easy reach of everything. Cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you need. Just loved it!
I spent a lovely few nights at Tania's with my 5 year old. It is a beautiful cottage, the perfect size with beautiful surroundings. Very clean with cute decor. Comfy bed. Really peaceful, slept very well. Although we never met Tania, she was very communicative over messages and even left a welcome gift for us, including a colouring book and pencils for my son! We spent a day visiting Lake Vrynwy, 20mins drive away, which, despite the drizzly weather, was gorgeous with a nice easy 30min walk to the waterfall.
Cosy cottage, great location, very clean and accommodating. Beautiful garden and amazing surroundings. We will definitely be back.
The Byre is a really well-designed, beautifully decorated, homely little space. It was very cozy, and the bed was super comfy. We enjoyed listening to the rain on the skylight, and felt warm and relaxed in this space. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, and the induction hob and oven worked brilliantly. Tania kindly provided basics like kitchen roll, washing up liquid, foil etc. so it was really easy for us to get started. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lots of thought has been put into finishing touches - with everything from emergency sanitary supplies to a plethora of OS maps for local walks. You’ll feel right at home. We were able to take advantage of the lovely garden and to meet gorgeous Anouk the dog! The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque and there’s so much to do within short driving distance. Top tip: bring slippers or good thick socks. The tile floors downstairs are very cold, even when everything else is toasty warm! We highly recommend this stay!
We had a lovely weekend break at The Byr. The location was absolutely stunning. Set up a quiet lane in the village, the countryside views surrounding the property were beautiful. We sat by the window eating breakfast and watched tiny lambs gamboling in the field opposite - they were so cute! The Annex is very comfortable and stylish (1970s vibe), and we had everything we needed. Our hosts Tania & Nigel were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They recommended a short walk to the village cafe where we had a tasty full English breakfast and lunch. The homemade cakes were fantastic too. Tania suggested the pub for takeaway fish & chips which did not disappoint. If you're looking for a peaceful rural location as a base for discovering mid Wales then you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back in the summer. Thank you Tania & Nigel for your warm hospitality.
Rural village location with pub, shop, cafe and church just a short walk away. Scenic views and walks from the property. Walk a portion of the 135 mile Glyndwr's Way National Trail just down the lane.
Driving is essential to get around. Bus and rail routes available. Nearest mainline station at Welshpool.
