I highly recommend staying at The Little Red House. Kaylynn is an excellent host and the house is very relaxing and fun for families.

Our reservation was very last minute, booked on the road at 3am. Kaylynn got back to us at 5am, asked a few questions and said the place was ours. We let her know that we’d been traveling through the night and she allowed us to check in early. The Little Red House is full of charm and each day you notice a cute touch of decor you didn’t notice before. You can see that Kaylynn poured her heart into making it a special retreat for others to enjoy. We spent our days at Whiskeytown Lake that is right around the corner, and our evenings bbqing out back while the kids were showering in the outdoor shower. We really got to know Kaylynn in the short time we were staying there and we truly felt as if we were visiting a friend. We cannot wait to return and go on more of the adventures that Kaylynn had suggested.

The little red house was a great place to relax and explore Shasta. Loved the charm of the house and the area was exceptional to explore and get our with our kids. Kaylynn was a great host and we would not hesitate to stay there again! We had such a great time!

Very tidy home. It was well equipped and had the best assortment of children's books. Great DVD titles to choose from for the adults and children. It was so nice to shower myself and little ones all at once in the outdoor shower. Good location as it's a hop skip and jump from Redding and Whiskey Lake. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The house is beautifully decorated!
