It’s an ideal getaway for walkers and cyclists with winding trails through the picturesque countryside. Other gems include Bourton-on-the-Water (16 miles) and Stow-on-the-Wold (12 miles). Both are traditional Cotswold towns and, as such, get busy in the high season but make good early-day trips.
