Caroline is a great host! She was very helpful and responsive from check-in and flexible with check-out. Her house is gorgeous!! Definitely even better than pictures within a very peaceful environment and a lot of available facilities, amenities provided. We had a great time there !!
Great house in a lovely quiet location. Caroline was very helpful and responsive to all questions. The house is a working home vacated for the stay but it was clean and tidy. We would recommend to anyone happy to be staying in someone’s else’s house.
This is one of the last great unspoilt parts of the North Cotswolds - as The Spectator recently put it, "an area so far untrammelled by departing Londoners", in the 'golden triangle' between Chipping Norton, Hook Norton and Shipston-on-Stour. It nestles in a secluded valley, surrounded by open fields with some of the most enchanting walks in the Cotswolds on your doorstep. A pond fed by two streams brings breeding ducks in the summer. Sheep graze on the hills around. Muntjacs nose through the hedgerows. The only sounds you'll hear are birdsong and the occasional tractor trundling up the lane. You can walk straight out of the house into spectacular countryside, with a local pub just a few minutes walk away, and the famous Whichford Pottery and Straw Cafe on your doorstep.
There's plenty of parking for several cars at the house and most amenities are within a 10-minute drive, including several supermarkets, numerous pubs, a cinema, wide range of shops and - if you'd like a little glamour during your stay - Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Farm Shop are within easy reach. The village has its own award-winning pub and cafe within easy walking distance. And if you're a classic car fan, look out for the rally on the village green on the last Thursday of every month in the summer.
