Amazing place to stay, beach is absolutely stunning and feels 100 percent private. I would highly recommend staying here and the pool was a perfect added touch. The place is honestly amazing and the host was wonderful as well. I truly wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on the island.

Gloria’s place is truly a gem, I could not say enough good things about my stay. Makaha beach will always hold a special place in my heart! I felt safe on the property and enjoyed the slow pace that you don’t necessarily experience if you choose to stay near Waikiki. Definitely would suggest having a car & absolutely read the wave woman book, such an inspiring story about her family.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Gloria is a great host. Her and her son Sean are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area! We had a great time. The beach is almost like having your own private beach. You can’t go wrong!! The only drawback for us was the road noise. We are country people and not use to that. For us ear plugs were a must. We find that to be true anywhere we have stayed in Hawaii! Being this is more the “locals” side of the island and most tourists stuff is on the other side of island plan accordingly as traffic can be busy!! Again if you’re a city person, you’re probably use to it. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want the island feel! We came here to relax, unwind and enjoy the beach. That’s exactly what we did! Will return again.

Wow wow wow!!!! The location was spot on! Right on the beach with a short walk thru the yard. Makaha is the Best beach on the west side hands down. She is the nicest host I ever met. She was kind and helpful and was always attentive to our needs. We were sad to cut our trip short because of family and Gloria totally understood. I highly recommend this place hands down you wont be disappointed. I will definitely comeback and stay here. Thanks Gloria!! Hope to see you soon

Thanks for the hospitality and peaceful Hawaiian atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit! West is definitely the best!
