Place is 100% matches description and photos. View is breathtaking. This is in gated community so you will feel save.
Amazing house! The views were breathtaking and the environment was a much welcome change from city life. The pool provided the perfect place to relax, in addition to being close to a number of beaches. The garden had fresh fruit and elevated the scenery. The house’s layout allowed us to efficiently work remotely. And the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Even though we stayed for a month, it felt too short, and we already wish we were back…
SPECTACULAR DREAM HOUSE WITH AN AMAZING VIEW! We just came back from our month long stay in Paradise. The house was more beautiful than we imagined and the view is just breathtaking. The house is so beautifully designed around the view. Every room has it's own bathroom and has a view of the ocean, pool & the mountains. The bathroom that opens out to the pool is also a steam room! Not to mention it's in gated community with someone there 24hrs so we always felt super safe and they were always so friendly. The house has everything you can possibly need for a family and so many areas to relax and hang out both indoors and outdoors. We were also able to work remote as there was an office space and setup complete with a monitor, keyboard and printer. Anything you could possibly need for a vacation, the house had it - beach towels, boogie boards, beach umbrella, floaties for the pool, wagon, surround sound speakers that we were able to enjoy music both inside and outside by the pool, a fully stocked kitchen with all high end appliances, kitchenware, a built in grill with fridge and a dream master closet/master bathroom. I can keep going and going. The house is also very well maintained - there was a pool guy that came weekly and a landscaper. The house is only a 5-10 min drive to the beach and it's a beautiful and quiet beach. During our time there, both Sharon (property manager) and Carolyn (owner) were both easily accessible and very accommodating to ensure we enjoyed our stay at the house to the fullest. There is even a map of the fruit trees in the backyard that we were able to help ourselves to fresh fruit! It was like a dream to be able to stay there for a month and we can't wait to go back again. You will not regret renting this house!
Our family of 4 spent a month at Carolyn’s home. The house is immaculate, the views breathtaking, and we would gladly go back. Below are some details and highlights that might not be as apparent from this listing: The House - The design is brilliant. Two separate wings to the home allow for maximum privacy. Each room has outdoor access and a view of the oceans/mountains but can’t see into the other rooms in the home. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless and are beautifully done. The Pool - The pool isn’t huge, but it is perfect for the space. It has a solar heater that would get the pool up to around 70 degrees. It’s a refreshing temperature and our family loved the pool. Beaches - Makaha Beach, a 5 min drive down the road is a great beach. Pretty calm in the summer although it sounds like it can get big in the winter. 10 minutes farther north and you have Makua and Yokohama Bays. These two beaches are uncrowded and definitely mostly locals. The water was pristine, scenery was amazing; there were even some turtles and good snorkeling in spots. When a bigger swell came through the waves at these beaches were too big for small kids but were really fun for adults and other strong swimmers. Pokai Bay beach is the local family beach, protected by walls, and was nice and calm. It looks quite similar to the Ko Olina lagoons near the Disney resort 30 min down the road but without the drive and amenities. There’s a nice mellow surf break within walking distance from the Pokai Bay parking lot. It’s a mostly sandy beach break with a bit of reef on one end. Uncrowded, friendly locals mostly on longboards, and a mellow right hand wave. It can apparently get big in the winter though. Food - The Waianae Coast is less developed than other parts of the island so your food options are more limited as it’s less catered to tourists. There’s a grocery store and a few small restaurants but it’s definitely not filled with cute little beach shops etc. When you’re not relaxing at home or out at a local beach, you may likely be driving towards Ko Olina, Honolulu or the North Shore for fancier food or other outings. One other highlight of the trip was private in-home yoga instruction provided by Paige Moon Yoga. Find her on Yelp. All-in-all, the house and location are amazing and we would happily go back. Just be mindful of the drive times to your preferred destinations and understand the restaurant limitations and you can’t go wrong here. Thanks again Carolyn!
I recently read a meaning of Aloha from a local publication ♥️ it couldn’t be more fitting to express our experience and stay: So the word aloha is something that you experience, your interaction with life, passion, joy, something that’s present within you. But at the same time, it’s something that you share, something that is spread to those around you, sharing that energy and joy that is within you. So what does “Aloha” mean? It really depends on how you use the word and in what context. It’s not a simple word to explain. But it is a beautiful word with many meanings. And it’s the way the Hawaiians live their everyday lives. We experienced Aloha 🌈
