I really enjoyed my spontaneous stay with Dilu and her Family. they were so welcoming and friendly. I immediately felt like an old friend returning. I had a great dinner and breakfast. the beach is really close, so you can easily have a wonderful walk with your feet in the water. I would definitely recommend a stay at Dilu's Homestay!

Dilu's Homestay is a lovely "home-from-home", but I would choose the upstairs rather than garden flat, as the latter is quite small, and is not en suite. The bed upstairs was a bit hard, but adequate. I had some trouble with WiFi, but this may have been due to my own computer rather than their WiFi. Kallady is a lovely village neighbourhood, but not if you want swimming and beaches. Batticaloa is very spread out, and you may need to arrange transport if you intend to visit the lagoons, etc. The family is very welcoming, with good English communication, and can fix you a tasty, home-cooked meal!

A lovely little home stay, that was arranged at short notice. The food was fantastic, and there was always more than we could eat. Our hosts were extremely welcoming, always smiling, and spoke much better English than we were led to believe. Overall the stay was lovely and is very close to a fantastic public beach.

It was actually an amazing stay with Dilu's family and in fact it was true when i talked cheerfully with them after i went wondering back in the evening, and also Dilu's mum made milk tea for me and showed me photograph of her daughter Dilu , everything felt like home-stay. The room is quiet and so clean that u can smelled the fragrance as u lay on the bed. And the house is quite near to the beach and u could go to see the sunrise on the early morning easily. All in all, it's a great honor to be the first Chinese guest and i appreciated nice experience with Dilu's warm family. Recommended !!!

Jothi made me very welcome and I immediately felt at home. It is a very quiet neighbourhood and the house is on a small sandy lane. It is quite easy to walk to the beach- around 600m? When I was there a strong onshore wind made it a bit too rough to swim but in the early morning I had a lovely swim in a calm sea. Watching the fishermen working as a team to bring in some 350kg of fish was fascinating and I met some nice people on the beach. The food is very good and I tried some things I had never eaten before. I was even treated to some singing!
