Enjoy views of the Fox River during all four seasons. Approximately 50' of river frontage with dockable access to the upper Fox River and Fox Chain O' Lakes. If you're into the natural side of the world this cottage is for you. This home is nestled among majestic old growth Oaks. Near the river you will find an outdoor fire pit for those cool nights. Home sleeps 3- 4 comfortably. Note: During the summer months we may limit the amount of longer stays. We sure felt comfortable and cared for in Michael’s river house! You are surrounded by TLC and hospitality from the moment you pull into the drive. The view of the river and the neighborhood is so inviting. We look forward to going back during warm weather to enjoy all the outside accommodations. It was just great!
Michael's home has a beautiful view of the lake and with all the comforts of home. It was clean, well stock with amenities, plenty of blankets to keep you warm and a nice desk to enjoy. Definitely would stay here again, when it's warmer to enjoy the lake and the water toys he has there. Highly recommend Michael's Place. Thank you for your hospitality. Happy Holidays
Homey location right along the Fox River. Nicely groomed & long backyard that leads to a personal pier on the river. The deck was funished with plenty of patio chairs. Kitchen area is very big & stacked with all the dishware you need. Beds were comfortable as well. Mike was even nice enough to let us stay after our original checkout time.

Cozy riverside community located just outside Island Lake, Illinois. Today the area is focused on boating. The area historically began as a vacation cottage community by residents of Chicago. You will find the immediate area is surrounded by mature oaks, some interesting history, and a healthy population of Whitetail Deer who are encountered here often.
The driveway will support 3 parked vehicles. Please inform the host if you have an oversized boat trailer. Garage is not included in your stay.
