We cannot say enough good things about our stay, and about what a true gem this stay is! The home itself is cozy and beautifully appointed, with many thoughtful and artistic details. Its location, close to Raystown Lake and State College and a variety of national parks, is great for a weekend getaway. The best part, however, is getting to have Keppy and Ron as hosts- they provided fresh baked goods, eggs from their hobby farm, and took us and our 7yo on a tour to see their animals. They could not be more laid-back, fun, kind, or hospitable. 10/10 want to go again! Thanks for a fabulous time!
The perfect stay and wonderful hosts for PennState graduation weekend! Thank you to Keppy and Ron for sharing your sweet cottage with us. Your hospitality was very much appreciated!
The Hobbit House was great! Keppy and Ron were the perfect hosts. There was fresh baked treats when we arrived, the outdoor area is perfect for sitting around and the house was cute and clean. We were sad that we didn’t have more time to spend there!
We had a lovely stay! Everything was fresh and clean. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and baked goods. We loved the outdoor space and it had the perfect shaded spot to relax with a morning coffee. Hospitality in droves. We had very clear and flexible check-in following our road trip. We had instructions available for any outdoor appliance usage. We felt taken care of throughout the trip. The space was comfortable and built out for a great stay. The artist showed through in all of the fun additions to the cottage. We recommend Shaver’s Creek, Berkey Creamery, Greenwood Furnace Park, Faccia Luna Pizza, and Naked Egg Cafe.
We had just the best time here! Keppy and Ron were so responsive, helpful, communicative, and overall just wonderful. They were even excited to show us their hobby farm which was a treat for us. The place is bigger than the pictures look. Brand new everything in the kitchen! Bathrooms were beautiful, especially that soaker tub! Perfect little cabin in the woods for two couples or small family. 10/10 would recommend staying here! Nothing but good things to say about this place and its hosts!
