We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at the Bear’s Den. Our host, Awais, was very helpful and answered our questions quickly. The property is beautifully situated on the lake. Every morning you can hear the turkeys gobble from the back porch. The interior is as beautiful as the pictures. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Especially loved the part where you didn’t need to bring any bed linens, towels, pillows, or any kitchen stuff. We had a group using the bathrooms simultaneously every morning and had zero issue with temperature or water pressure. The one item I’d note for future guests is to suggest arriving before dark. Multiple GPS devices were misdirected. They were close, but we had to rely on visual comparisons of house exteriors to find the right one. The rental is tucked away. I would recommend the rental 100% to anyone looking for a great place to stay that is ideally located for exploring Northern Michigan.

Our crew had an incredible time at Awais’s place! The area was very peaceful and the lake serene. It was nice to check out and get lost in the surroundings. The owner was very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin and the two fireplaces immensely as the snow fell outside. We’d definitely recommend to others and the town of Gaylord, MI was a real charmer. Cheers!
We loved our stay in this beautiful lakefront home. The steam rolling off the frozen lake was especially beautiful in the mornings. The house was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub too. The hosts are easy to talk to and accomodating. We would definitely recommend.
