You’ll be staying in the space I typically use as my office. I’ve converted it into an Airbnb while I’m abroad. You’re welcome to fire up the sauna, look though my books, get some work done, or just relax. You’ll be close to the mountains, the sea, and about an hour and a half from Seattle and Vancouver. Check out my guide if you want some nearby recommendations for food, hikes, etc. The studio is about 600 square feet but very comfortable and well stocked with all the necessary and unnecessary items you’ll need for your stay. There’s a kitchenette with a full refrigerator and freezer and a powerful induction cooktop. On the table next to the refrigerator you’ll find all the cooking tools you’ll need, cutlery and plates/bowls/cups, a sharp chef knife, pots and pans, and plenty of interesting cookbooks. There’s a nespresso machine (pods below the counter along with some chocolate bars from Vietnam) if you want coffee. I’ve also included some very special teas—a biodynamic aged matcha from one of Japan’s most innovative tea sommeliers and some excellent loose leaf teas in the copper tins by similar producers. That’s more in the unnecessary category but I can’t help but share :) There’s a queen sized bed with a medium firm latex mattress, pure linen sheets and down pillows/duvet from Feathered Friends. Next to the bed is a table you can use as a nightstand, storage, or whatever with some games and a Bluetooth speaker. You’ll also find a table, a big and comfortable couch, and the aforementioned sauna. If you are three people, someone can sleep on the couch as it’s very suited for that purpose (talalay latex like the bed), BUT you’ll need to bring your own bedding / sleeping bag. If you have any accessibility needs, the whole space is wheelchair accessible with a walk in shower that also has a chair. If you want to work out, feel free to use the kettlebells.
