The Rooted Roundhouse Bunkies are nestled in a forested 3 acre farmstead. Experience a unique stay in our cluster of micro cabins. A bunkhouse, a cookhouse and a bathhouse with a custom, outdoor cedar shower. At the hub of our property is our round yurt inspired house. This is the place we call home and the place where we are growing our family and the food we eat. We are a family of four and one dog. The bunkies are located about 250ft from our home, nestled amongst the trees. There is a gravel path that leads up to the bunkies from the bottom driveway where you will park. The path is not wheelchair accessible. (Currently our neighbor has just started site preparation on her summer home build. So far construction has been minimal and it's a small home build. We share a common driveway leading into our property therefore we thought our guests should be made aware.) These are 3 season buildings. Portable space heaters are provided. We will turn on heaters prior to arrival. The bunkies consist of 3 units. -The bunkhouse -The cookhouse -The bathhouse/outdoor shower The bunk and cookhouses are 10'x10' in size (100sqft). The bunkhouse has a ladder access loft that has a queen size bed with a 7' high ceiling. There is also a double sofa bed in the bunkhouse. If you wish to use it please let us know in advance so that we can have it ready for you. If you have any allergies to feather down pillows or duvets please let us know. Coffee and tea will be provided for self use in the cookhouse. The cookhouse has a two burner stove , a toaster oven, a mini fridge and a BBQ. (Willing to upgrade mini fridge for long term stays). The toilet is a composting toilet with which you will be provided the information on how to use. The shower is outdoors. There is no TV. The WIFI is Starlink. There are string lights hung between the Bunkies which provide light at night to illuminate the pathway. There is a firepit provided for guest use, during times when there are no fire bans. You are welcome to use the firepit. We have a limited supply of firewood bundles for $12 each. Several gas stations also have bundled firewood if needed. The entrance gate opens up towards your vehicle as you arrive. The guest parking area is situated below the Bunkies. Look for the "parking" sign. We have one family dog. Her name is Nikita and she will bark when you arrive. We will try and have her leashed before you arrive. Nikita is half Malamute and half husky, shepherd. If she is down at the gate someone will come down to get her before the gate is opened! She can't be let out of the fenced property as she will take off and may cause damage to neighbors livestock. There are several off leash dogs in the neighborhood. Some bark at vehicles that drive up the driveway. When arriving at the gate the dogs may greet you first. Although they bark we have never had an issue with guests coming and dog incidents. There are bears etc in area, our property is fully fenced. We hope you enjoy your stay!
