Abingdon · 整套民居 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住3人 · Unbeatable Location in Abingdon
Enjoy the best that Abingdon has to offer at this centrally-located house in downtown! This stylishly remodeled spot is only minutes away from The Barter Theater, Virginia Creeper Trail and Martha Washington Inn. The house is spacious, yet cozy and has all the amenities that a leisure or business traveler may need. Incredible kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, blazing fast wifi, offstreet parking, a private patio, multiple flat screen TV's, a dedicated office area, and so much more! This brilliantly remodeled house was a commercial clothing store for decades in downtown Abingdon. In 2013, the last of the commercial tenants moved out, and the building was redesigned into a private residence. The downstairs is one large, open room where the living room and kitchen flow into one another. The high ceilings, wood floors, and custom cabinets give it a modern yet homey feel. There is also a half bathroom downstairs near the rear entrance that leads to the back patio. Both bedrooms are located upstairs. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and a large walk-in closet. The guest bedroom can also serve as an office with a custom built-in desk and bed in opposite sides of the room, which also has wonderful natural light coming in from the south. The back patio has a retractable cover for rain and sun protection. It is controlled by a remote control. There is also a charcoal grill with grilling utensils on the back patio.
I can't say enough positive things about this house. Breathtaking. Exquisite. Luxurious. Although I had planned several things to do while I was in downtown Abingdon, I honestly would have been quite content to stay at the house and enjoy cooking in the well stocked kitchen or reading in the gorgeous living room.
John was incredibly responsive, helpful, and exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay.
This Airbnb had everything I could want. It was beautiful, well equipped, and a great location. Would definitely stay again.
The name says it all, the location is indeed unbeatable. This home is extremely well maintained and beautifully appointed. The renovations are top notch, you can tell it was done by a pro. The mill work is incredible, the appliances are all high quality, the hardwood floors are in immaculate condition, the beds were clean and comfortable, the shower was clean and the water pressure was excellent. I visited the Martha Washington Inn while exploring Abingdon and for the money I would stay at John's home every time. My trip occurred during an unusually cold weekend with an ice storm. Even with the bad weather my wife and I still got out and around the town fine. The stores and coffee shops that were open were excellent, the restaurants were some of the best I've been to in years and the people in the town were generally very friendly. It's a great town, it's a cool house, book it. I wouldn't take small children, there's lots of fragile things in the home for a kid to get into.
This was the best Airbnb experience I ever had. The old building is beautiful and the renovation is stunning. The home is spacious and clean, with a lot of natural light and modern amenities. The kitchen is immaculate and well-stocked; we enjoyed cooking on the induction range and eating at the large dining table. The living room has a huge TV and a cozy sofa, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The Wi-Fi was very fast and reliable, and we had no trouble working from home for a few hours. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, and the bathrooms were spotless and stylish. The heated patio with awning was a nice bonus, and we would love to come back in warmer months to enjoy it more. The location was ideal, as we could walk to many Abington attractions, including the Tavern and Barter Theater. We loved walking around the area and admiring the historic architecture and charming shops. John was very friendly and responsive, and gave us some great tips on what to see/do.
This house is in downtown Abingdon. It's busy and bustling during the day and quiet at night after 7:00pm. The Barter Theater is one block away. The Virginia Courthouse is one block away in the opposite direction, and the Virginia Creeper Trail is three blocks away via Pecan Street.
There is off street parking. Easy walking access in the neighborhood. Excellent location for bicycles.
自我介绍
I run a small legal videography company and manage our family farm in Alvarado. I am married, and my wife, Alena, helps me co-host as well. When we are not working, we like to be outdoors. I moved to Colorado in 2003 to take advantage of the mountains and access to the west, but returned to Virginia in 2020 to be closer to home and manage the property. As a guest, I love to travel, so when I am on the road, it is mostly to be out and about.
