Excellent place to stay for us and another couple... a bit expensive, but we were offered an extra night at a reduced rate and we took it! Communication with Cosmic Company hosts was great, and the WiFi worked great! Location is 2.7 miles from the highway... which is fantastic... we liked not being too close to other dwellings & neigbors! Great place for stargazing! Inside was basic as a renovated shipping container... however, it was very modern, very clean, had new appliances, and the beds were comfortable! One note: don't follow the GPS guidance to the address... follow the host's directions... easy peasy! We would definitely return!

The Cosmic Company provided a unique lodging option near Big Bend National Park. It is a shipping container that was converted into a small “home.” It is definitely remote but it was peaceful. We enjoyed stargazing at night and the kids loved the firepit! The kitchen was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the trundle bed because they each got their own space to sleep! The WiFi worked without a problem (which actually shocked me) and the shower was a decent size with hot water! It did feel a bit cramped having 4 people in the space but it’s definitely a major upgrade from camping. And for 2 people, it would likely feel spacious! The side of the container is all glass (windows or doors) allowing you to see into the starry night sky while you sleep! That was the best part. It is about an hour to Big Bend National Park and 30 minutes to Terlingua, where there are many dining options. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We would recommend staying here

If you want to visit Big Bend and get the experience of camping, seeing the stars, etc. but without actually camping (e.g., you prefer a temperature-controlled climate for sleeping, a toilet, etc.) then this is the place for you. The container is laid out well and worked perfectly for our family of four. It's a single container so it isn't large but you really don't need a large space - the purpose is to get outside and experience the Big Bend area. The location is quite remote and you will be about 30-40 minutes outside of Terlingua Ghost Town and about an hour+ outside of the entrance to Big Bend National Park. The location is what allows you that remote camping experience but it was further out than we expected and added quite a bit of driving to a trip that already requires a lot of driving. But the stars really are as pictured and the experience is lovely. The space is very nice and the hosts are very detailed in their communication.

Great find! Stayed for Spring Break with my husband and son. Excellent place to explore the area in a quiet, private setting. Adventure starts with a fun country road to access the area. Plenty of brush was cleared around the home to make me feel safe from potential critters… none seen. Clean, modern interior. Delicious nespresso coffee, comfortable beds, huge shower, amazing night sky. Plenty of firewood for the outdoor wood grill. Very responsive, kind host. Would stay again.

Incredible location, amenities, and unique stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Big bend or Terlingua experience.
