Was shocked about how clean it was inside! Has exactly what you need for a little getaway. Not cluttered with too many things. The air conditioner worked amazing, it kept the place so cold, just how we like it! The movie projector is great and easy to use. Would definitely stay there again.

The Mermaid House was perfect for our stay! We came to visit our son, who is a freshman at UNT. The house was extremely clean and cozy from the minute we stepped in. LOVED the private patio! Grateful for the two car parking spot. Super comfortable beds! And being able to control the temperature without restrictions was such a bonus!! It was the perfect place for our son to get away from the dorms and relax in a comfortable king bed! We were not able to take advantage of the lake or trails that lead to it. But we plan to be back soon! Definitely worth it!

The hosts and the place itself were awesome! I do wish we wouldn't have waited til our last day to check out the area the hosts recommended because although it was about a 20min. drive and most stuff was closed on a Monday, it appeared to have a lot of fun activities (up until that point we had been driving roughly 45 mins into downtown Dallas for other sightseeing). The location of the house I'd say was easy access to highway but not very scenic or walkable. All in all I would recommend "The Mermaid House" because it was cute, cozy, convenient and I could tell the hosts were friendly and professional.

This place was spotless and perfect!! Needed a place in between houses for us and our pups! Perfect to open the door and not worry about the dogs outside (though not a bit yard.. perfect for what was needed!) So very thankful we chose this place!! Communication was perfect and prompt!
