Converted from a barn in 2020, this spacious and light-filled holiday home combines rugged oak beams and contemporary amenities, with a reverse-level design that makes the most of its glorious views. Enter through the glazed door into the tiled hall, hang up your coats, and on the ground floor you’ll find all three bedrooms: a king-size with a TV and en-suite shower, a double and a bunk-bed room for two. On this level there’s also the family bathroom and a utility cupboard. Take the wooden stairs to the first floor and you’ll reach the stunning lounge/kitchen/diner, dominated by a huge glazed window with incredible views of Pen y Fan. Prepare tasty suppers in the delightful kitchen, sit down at the spacious dining table to enjoy them, then spend a relaxed evening in the comfortable sofas, perhaps curling up with a movie on the Smart TV. Al fresco dining is another option, as you have a private courtyard with a table and chairs where you can take a meal or a drink, perhaps lighting the fire pit for some warming flames as the sun goes down. Just 1 mile from the cottage, the village of Llanfihangel Talyllyn boasts a homely, welcoming pub, while in Llangorse, 4 miles, you can try out a variety of outdoor activities, including horse riding, climbing, zip lining and boating on Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales. Alternatively head to the market towns of Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell or Brecon, all within 14 miles.
