Affectionately known as the "kite area", my neighbourhood has a friendly village like atmosphere. It's a central residential area, and everything you need is within a short walking distance. You will find lots of cafes (both independent and high-street), local pubs (most of them serve good quality food), restaurants, various eateries and shops. There are many parks and green spaces in the area, and the river is less than 10 minutes away.

Most of the sites and facilities are in 5-15 minutes walking distance from here. (For example, King's College is 10 minutes on foot.)

By train, Cambridge station is about a 1.8km/1.1miles away. It takes about 20 minutes on foot. There are frequent bus services to the centre and it takes 10-15 minutes; guided bus A or C - get off at New Square, and other buses to "City Centre" - get off at Emmanuel Street
By coach (from airports, London and major cities), the central coach station is less than 5 minutes on foot
