Create forever memories at this large, peaceful, centrally-located authentic log cabin. 4 brdms, 3.5 baths, game room w/bar & arcade, hottub, sauna w/yoga room, covered pavilion for BBQ/dining. The 16-acre property w/Bass fishing pond 10 minutes to UTK & downtown has 4 cabins that can sleep a total of 30 people, perfect for reunions & events. Walking trails, horseshoe pits, cornhole, tetherball, fishing. Enjoy deer and turkeys as you explore rolling hills and hay fields. Rent all 4 cabins! The cabin is built around a massive basement-to-roof rock fireplace with 3 cozy electric fireplaces, one on each floor. Big Ponderosa is an authentic, modern-rustic 1970s cabin, complete with 2 new central heat and air conditioning systems for year-round comfort. During rain, you will hear raindrops on our metal roof. Expect doors that squeak and close differently from traditional homes. Floors may creak and are not always perfectly level. You will hear your fellow cabin guests walk on the floor above you when on the main floor or basement. The bar/game room is awesome and set up for entertainment. Relax in your private cedar sauna or outside in your private hot tub looking out at the pond. Multiple living/gathering spaces including the basement and main floor living rooms, bar/game room, deck, porch, and the BBQ pavilion. The shared trails and outdoor game area with horseshoes, cornhole, and tetherball are a wonderful respite. There is also a private fire pit next to the bass fishing pond.

Our stay at Ponderosa was wonderful! Beautiful property, immaculate condition, and super cozy. Kevin and Brandi were always responsive to our needs. Couldn’t be happier with the experience!
What a wonderful oasis. Was at conference at the convention center in Knoxville and this cabin was only 15 minutes away, but it felt like being in another world. Beautifully done. Well appointed. Had one issue with normal things not working in a home like they just sometimes do, and it was fixed with lightning speed. Absolutely would stay here again!

Our stay at the Big Ponderosa was AMAZING! We stayed with our best friends over the Presidents Day weekend to visit my son who goes to UTK. The cabin is beautiful! It is also very clean.! There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 young adults. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. They added little things like popcorn and blankets on the porch rockers for our enjoyment. Our group was appreciative of all the little things the host did for us. There are a lot of fun outdoor activities. We loved the fire pit, the hot tub, playing corn hole and fishing. We also enjoyed the bar/game room. The mini arcade console had all the old games like Frogger. It was fun watching our young kids playing the old games. We also played a lot of the giant connect 4. There are plenty of other games. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! We made so many great memories!
