Hygge Cottage sits on a small elevated ridge overlooking the scenic West Coast of the island. It enjoys a gorgeous sea view to the west and cooling tropical breezes from the east. Nestled amongst the trees and tropical foliage the location is peaceful and calming. The cottage is located in the grounds of “Farmers Great House” which was originally built in 1670. Constructed in 2017 of hard wood with a concrete base it is a relatively new addition to this historical Barbadian home. It was strategically placed to maximize the amazing sea views and sunsets of the west coast. A large patio off the open plan kitchen and living area all enjoy the gorgeous views with the 2 sized ensuite bedrooms positioned on the east of the house to capture the cooling Caribbean breezes. A lush, spacious garden with various fruit trees and ample parking lead to the fire pit with its semi circular bench. This is all privately tucked away behind attractive stone built boundary walls. Within 15-minutes drive takes you to the beach in Holetown. There is a wide range of both fine dining and casual restaurants, a selection of bars and night club; local and luxury shopping, banking, coffee shop, medical centre, the Limegrove Lifestyle center, and one of the biggest supermarkets on the island.

The place is great. There is a nice breeze that goes through the house more so during the night that keeps the place cool. The hosts are very nice people. G. maps sent me to the wrong location and David was good enough to leave his dinner party to get me to the house. Wase (z).. is better. It's pined as Farmers Plantation
There are a few things that can make this place much better, I’ll list the pros & cons below: PRO’S - Beautiful views - Peaceful location - Kind owners, very helpful & respectful - Cathy, the property manager, was great! - Amazing place to take pictures - Roomy CONS - MOSQUITOS EVERYWHERE. When I mentioned this to Cathy, they immediately tried to help, but nothing helped. At one point I had 45 mosquito bites and not even mosquito repellent helped. - Red ants everywhere, on the couch, in the kitchen, in the bed. I understand there are insects in a house like this and that’s fine, but the red ants bites really hurts! - When we arrived in the air bnb, a lot of things were dirty: kitchen utensils were all dirty, towels were musty and full with stains. The cleaning washed our clothes & towels without laundry detergent and cleaned with only water. It was not clean. Nonetheless the air bnb was gorgeous and the owners of the house and the property manager were lovely. Had a good time!

Holetown 10 minutes drive. Nearest beach in Holetown is about 12 minutes drive. From the house to the main house is 3 minutes drive .
