Good place to venture off from and see Matera. It felt like a safe area and was just a few blocks to a long walkway of restaurants and shops. We easily found the steps down to the old town of Matera from there. The apartment is clean but basic as far as furniture although it’s a big space with lots of room. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub as well that you can’t see in the photos that’s in good condition roomy and clean.

There are lots of positives and no negatives regarding this apartment and the stay. The location of the property was very convenient, being only 2 minutes walk to the train station and 5 minutes walk to the city center and Sasi area. The apartment was huge, very spacious with a large balcony which gets nice sun in the afternoon (in mid November). The kitchen was really fully stocked with cooking utensils and everything you might need to cook. The bed, sofa and chairs were all comfortable. The wifi was really fast, and for the price we paid (it wasn’t our first time staying in Mattera) it was very good value. The apartment is run by an agency and you’ll need to spend 5 or 10 minutes registering some information online to check-in. The agency is quick and responsive and helpful - we had problem with the internet and Gerardo came round to sort it out. We would recommend it and would stay here again.
