You can Relax by the pool, take a short stroll to the beach, feed the horse and donkey, or just hang out around the firepit watching the stars all while enjoying the calm relaxation of your boutique mini resort in Loreto Mexico. Pufferfish Villas is a boutique resort property with two Villas currently available. Villa 2 - Palapa Villa is more private with a garden view from the kitchen and bedroom. Your villa has a spacious great room area with a full kitchen, living room, and dinette area. Your kitchens has a full size refrigerator, gas cooktop, large toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you will need. We provide purified drinking water for your stay. The living room has a couch and chair where you can enjoy the 55" Smart UHD TV with 120+ US based english channels including ESPN and all your favorite cable channels. You can also stream through our superfast Starlink internet. The bedroom has a king bed with luxury pillow top king sized mattress. You also have a 43" Smart UHD TV in the bedroom with all the same channels and streaming. There is a dedicated desk area with a comfortable desk chair and power station for all your electronics. The bedroom also has ample closet space and storage along with a laptop sized security safe for your use. The bathroom has everything you need including a huge shower with bench, luxury rain showerhead, and great water pressure maintained by our own onsite water system. You have high speed 100Mbs+ internet covering the entire property. The entire property is fenced and secured 24/7. You will have 24 hour access to the secured onsite parking through the electronic keypad entry at the automatic driveway gate. We also provide 24 hour keypad access through our front walking gate. You have a beautiful pool heated year round to 88 degrees with a pool cabana and four mini cabanas to soak up the sun. Pool towels are provided in your Villa. The entire pool area is covered by high speed internet and there are power plugs at every seating location to charge your devices at the pool. Other amenities include a firepit area, free on-site laundry room access, gas BBQ, hammocks, cornhole, palapa, free bikes, and separate community fish refrigerator/freezer. We are located on the North side of town, providing a calm retreat from the vibrant downtown area. We are a 2 min walk from Playa Negrita beach and a 5 minute bike ride or 15 min walk to the center plaza.

Doug and his wife are both excellent hosts, have a lot to offer in regards to local activities, and they built an amazing oasis close to downtown Loreto. We look forward to going back and wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Pufferfish Villa! It was our oasis away from everything, but then close enough to the City Center for local food and drinks. The property is on a sandy dirt road which gives a “country” feel, but walking into the city took us 15-20 minutes. They offer a couple of bikes to get to town a bit faster. The bikes are perfect for a small commute to and fro. At the Villas, we relaxed by the pool, on our little patio, or at night by the propane fire pit. The villas have everything you need and the host thought of every detail. My favorite is the salt and pepper shakers! The shower has great water pressure, the king size bed and linens were very comfortable, and the couch to lounge on was comfy. Every question we messaged to Douglas he got right back to us. Communication was perfect. We got away to relax and reset from our kids, and the Pufferfish Villas did that for us! We love that it’s a 21+ property too!
Our stay at Pufferfish Villas was perfect for us. Doug and Hope are very knowledgeable about Loreto and Baja Sur and offer friendly and helpful tips in their written guide, and are available for questions but not at all intrusive. The villas are within easy walking distance (15-20 minutes) to the historic center of town and restaurants. A wealth of sea and land based tours are offered by several providers. The villas are well furnished and maintained with all the amenities we needed readily available. Comfortable beds, great shower, large kitchen area, several lounging opportunities both inside and outside the villa. Bonuses for us were a pool and laundry facilities. We enthusiastically recommend a stay here, and we would certainly love to return.
Our sincere thanks to Doug and Hope for creating the Pufferfish Villas. We really enjoyed our stay in Villa #2. The décor is warm & modern with artsy touches. The gated location felt private, and the grounds were lovingly created & cared for. We really appreciated the starter supply of Keurig Coffee & various creamers! The bed was firm, but comfy & the quality of the linens was superb – felt like we were in a luxury hotel. The hosts went above and beyond with so many thoughtful details. The casita was spotless when we checked in. We rented a car so we could explore Loreto and the surrounding area – and we were glad we did, but the location was such that one could walk to town. We highly recommend staying at Pufferfish Villas and hope we can return soon. Pufferfish Villas has a special place in our hearts.
We had a fantastic time at Pufferfish Villa. Our hosts made our first trip to Loreto a very memorable experience. From the moment we arrived Doug and Hope made sure we had everything we needed to settle into our 2 week stay. The property is fantastic and being one of the first guests to stay in the Villas was a great experience An unexpected but exciting bonus was being able to watch the Baja 1000 with Doug and Hope. Highly recommend this property if you want a resort experience but still in the small city laidback experience of Loreto.

We are located at the North end of the El Jaral Neighborhood (or Colonia). We are a 2 minute walk (600ft) from the beach. We are in an area of multi million dollar homes and have a 7 acre pasture next to our property with a resident horse and donkey who love treats.
We have onsite secured parking and overflow parking available. We are a 2 minute walk (600ft) from the beach. We are approximately a 4 minute drive or 15 minute walk (1.3 km or 3/4 mile) to the center plaza in town. Our neighborhood is extremely safe and we frequently walk to town and back at night with no concerns. Taxis are readily available and can take you anywhere you want to go. We have taxi information in our guidebook in the villa.
