Our home with views is in the heart of Sausalito, the "Amalfi Coast of California." Minutes from San Francisco, with urban life and nature access at the same time: birds and deer roam the neighborhood, hiking trails and beaches abound, historic Victorian homes are next to great restaurants, live music venues, and gourmet grocery stores. The Ferry terminal is a 5 minute walk and San Francisco a 25-minute ferry ride, or 20-minute drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, or one- hour bike ride away.

My month long stay was perfect in all ways despite a few days of wet weather. The view of the harbor and Bay from every room was spectacular, even better than the photos. The hosts were kind, helpful and very responsive, even immediate in most cases. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, more than I could hope for. I’ve stayed in many rentals and this one was head and shoulders above the rest. Only one street above Bridgeway, the Main Street, I could walk to cappuccino in the morning and a wine tasting room in the evening. Sausalito has much going for it, including friendly people who don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation. And San Francisco is 10 minutes away with a ride over the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge. Highly recommended!
It doesn’t get better than this. When you arrive, the views will take your breath away. The apartment is immaculate, warm, cozy with a deck that is even larger than the pictures reveal. The kitchen has everything you need. Beds are great. Furnishings beyond comfortable. And lots of blankets for lounging inside or outside—of which I did both. It’s location is a short walk from anything you might need/want: groceries, food, ice cream, the S.F. ferry, etc. Best of all, Mojgan and John are utterly lovely hosts who give you as much privacy as you want while attending to any question/text within minutes. While I wish this place could be exclusively mine (!), it would be selfish not to rate it (and them) as highly as I have. Book it and enjoy it as much as I did.
Loved this place! An ample wrap-around deck offered a fantastic overlook of Sausalito’s expansive marina and a quiet place to relax. This roomy apartment is truly homey. So tastefully decorated with a very well equipped kitchen, and comfortable seating across several rooms with a view. We spent a month enjoying downtown restaurants and marina, only a walk away. We also enjoyed quick access to San Francisco as well as wonderful day hikes nearby with redwood wonderlands and mountain-top views. Mojgan and John were fantastic hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay super pleasurable. Can’t wait to get back!

We are in a quiet residential neighborhood just one block up a hill from the main street through Sausalito. The SF Ferry dock is a 5 minute walk.
Sausalito is a hillside town on a part of the SF Bay known as Richardson Bay. The neighborhood we are in is known as the "Sun Belt" because it's the warmest and least windy part of Sausalito. Downtown can be accessed via several streets or several stairways between properties. Sausalito is know for its beautiful views of San Francisco, historic old Victorian homes, and access to nature.
There is plenty of safe on-street neighborhood parking available.
There are two flights of stairs to get to the guest house. One from the street down to our property and another from the front of the house down to the guest house.
The neighborhood is great for walking. Lots of historic Victorian homes and beautiful views to see. You can walk to beaches on the bay and to trailheads that lead out into the Marin Headlands and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
The area is very popular with bikers (road and mountain) and there are bike shops nearby that rent bikes for the day (including ebikes).
Most of San Francisco is assessable via public transportation, starting with a scenic ferry ride from a dock that is a 5 minute walk. Napa and the wine country are about 40 minutes north by car. The beautiful natural areas and beaches of West Marin and Tomales Bay are about 45 minutes by car.
