A beautiful home in beautiful surroundings. Richard was a very helpful host who gave us local recommendations and checked in on us in person. The house was very clean and we loved the interior design of it. You have stunning surroundings with walks you can do right from the front door. The bed is incredibly comfy and the log burning stove made everything very cosy. Would definitely recommend
Lovely little getaway, Richard’s cottage is cosy and beautifully quiet. Will definitely visit again.
Richard was a fantastic host, he was keeping an eye out and came out after we accidentally drove past. He also was very friendly and accommodating when I had a request for a roast dinner and offered his own trays for Yorkshire puddings. Richard also pointed out a few local landmarks when I mentioned we were looking for places to visit. The house was immaculate and had a fireplace along with plenty of firewood. We had a great weekend away with 4 of us in the house.
Just want to say thank you for such a beautiful and peaceful new year at this cottage. It felt like home from home and nothing was too much trouble! It was lovely to have the chickens and ducks roaming around and friendly dogs who were very quiet! Richard and his family were very attentive to our needs, providing logs for the fire and checking up on us to make sure we were ok! The inside of the house was very traditional to the age of the property, was beautifully decorated with old pictures and a huge bed and when the fire was lit it was very cosy! The lovely surroundings and countryside made this place special and we hope to return in the future! All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for peace and quiet in comfortable and spacious surroundings who appreciates the outdoors and is looking for a place to stay off the beaten track!
