Nice place, but the outdoor space was a bit messy with a derelict generator, some furniture and scraps strewn around the backyard firepit area
There was a small snafu during check-in (where we did not receive the lock box code instructions prior to check-in as expected) but was able to quickly resolve over the phone (but had to drive to find cell reception due to the remote location). Outside of the checkin delay, everything was flawless and really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting to ski at the summit (5min drive) so was the perfect location for our planned activities. Highly recommend!
This place did not meet expectations so I'm writing this so other future guests can be clear on what they are getting. The location is great and the house has 4 bedrooms. Downsides include the walkway is not shoveled and dangerous to get to the steps without slipping. The washer/dryer is a single/tiny machine running off 20AMP. it is NOT good for a lunch time drying of clothes to get back to the slopes. The kitchen has no dishwasher and all of the cabinets are filled with no empty place to put groceries. It only has salt and pepper so if you want to cook, you'll need to bring EVERYTHING. Some windows have no blinds and the thin windows do little to keep out the road noise. The rear king bedroom has fold-out quality mattress that you sink into several inches and feel the springs. It takes 2 flushes to get pee to go down the drain, and if you plan to use the wood stove or firepit, you'll need to pack your own wood/kindlings/paper/hatchet and matches because none of this is provided.
The cabin was very clean and well organized. I stayed there with 3 teenage boys and we all had our own rooms, which was great after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was comfortable and we made all of our meals there. My favorite part was the sauna, which we used a few times each day. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and it was only a mile from the Silver Fir lodge. I would definitely stay there again.
Great location and beautiful surroundings!! Loved the sauna but wished there was a dish washer. Also didn’t figure out the washer/dryer until later in our stay.
