Beautiful vacation property with stunning views of the Straight of Juan de Fuca and a short walk down to the mouth of the Elwha river. Everything about the home itself was lovely. The Purple brand beds were comfortable, and the furniture in the living room/dining room and bedrooms was all very nice. The reduction in stars is due to choices of the property management company on quality. The first is a very specific gripe — they had the cheapest toilet paper I’ve ever used. When you’re staying in a luxury property with commensurate prices, you’d expect something slightly better than a city park bathroom. It was also marketed as having cooking staples provided. While most things were usable, they were entirely out of salt, which made for some rather bland cooking. My English family vacationing with us was also shocked that there was no tea kettle (despite tea being provided) although that was incidental for us. We had issues getting half of the burners on the induction range to work.

This place is gorgeous and the location is incredible, but it’s lacking a few comforts that prevent it from being a 5 star stay. Pros: amazing, secluded spot with great views of the sound. 15 minutes to the Olympic National Park visitor center and a short drive beyond that to Hurricane Ridge. Deer in the yard were delightful. Cons: No curtains in the main bedroom so everyone on the deck can see in, and a mid day nap if you’re tired from an early hike is impossible. There’s no cell service (at least not on Verizon) and the WiFi couldn’t handle six phones using it at once. There’s no deck furniture so it’s hard to enjoy the deck, which one of the main reasons for booking this spot. Things to note: Ask for a pin on a map when driving here - GPS will take you a mile too far and the instructions in the booking aren’t very clear. And if you want to unwind by streaming a show or movie, bring your own streaming device because the TV in the house is not a smart TV and doesn’t have cable.

Stunning property with views of Vancouver Island. Views all around the house were beautiful, including a very special driveway. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and we enjoyed that the house made it easy to disconnect. Our family enjoyed all of the board games. The addition of outdoor furniture would make this place a true gem.

This home was divine. The view was incredible every moment of the day and night. The home was immaculate. Highly recommend if you need to destress from every day living.

This home is absolutely lovely and was perfect for our family. It is spacious and the views are stunning. There is a family of deer on the property who were about in the yard constantly. The hosts have thought of many little things: nice soaps and shampoos, bug spray (not needed during our stay in early July) and sunscreen, and a well-stocked kitchen. We would stay here again without hesitation: it is wonderfully isolated and beautiful. We had difficulty getting into the home as Vacasa did not send us the access code prior to check-in. We did not get a response to our text messages and called the phone help line, which took about 30 minutes, all told. Otherwise, our stay was perfect and would love to return in the future.
