Lovely lodge with a great living space to hang out in with everyone that is there! Hottub was amazing and it was a very well stocked place. Great communication with Hazel and quick to respond to questions. We would recommend this place to everyone.

The lodge was fantastic. Very warm, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we could need and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Lots of space for all 7 of us adults staying comfortably - large living area, dining table and rooms! The hot tub was fantastic and ready to use when we arrived. It was lovely to sit out after a day walking! Hazel was available to answer any questions or queries. Would highly recommend.

The location was a little out in nowhere and as weather was bad for first 2 days, exploring was limited. However saying that it was a great base for biking when weather did pick up, hot tub was great and size of lodge was ideal for our group of 7. Cosy and clean.

Just back from a lovely few days staying at the lodge with friends, used as a base to climb some of the Monroes, would highly recommended.

Lovely few days spent staying at Castlewood. Hazel’s property is cosy, comfortable and well-equipped. Lots of space for our family of five and comfy beds and seating area. The hot tub was also a very welcome feature and a lovely treat after a long walk. The surrounding area is full of glorious hills and trails to explore with lots to do and see.
