Welcome, this is our farmhouse. There’s plenty of room for the whole family to gather, relax, and adventure with large comfy rooms, a spacious kitchen, and open dining room. Sip your coffee on the shady back porch, wander the meadow trails, apple orchard, and lavender patch, hike up to the bench on our hill to relax at sunset, cozy up next to the bonfire, or soak in the hot tub under the stars. Close to town with a nice northern Michigan country setting Plenty of golf courses near by! This beautifully modern updated farmhouse built in 1896 features 4 upstairs bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, two full bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) and a sunroom on the ground floor that can be converted into a sleeping area with the pullout couch. There is a shaded back porch with seating and a small balcony off the master bedroom upstairs that overlooks the back of the property. 10 steps off the back porch is a fire pit in the enclosed backyard. Just past the firepit is a hot tub nestled under the cedar branches on the deck of a mini cabin. Inside the mini cabin you'll find a foosball table, couches, and a cozy fireplace. On the other side of the fence is a wooden playground from our kiddos to yours with a slide and swing set. We have an apple orchard with green, yellow and red apples you are welcome to pick and eat from! They are usually ready in mid-late August. We do not use herbicides or pesticides so there may be little insect pals. There is also a massive pear tree at the back of the field that is particularly delicious and it usually ready at the end of July. Next to the orchard is a lavender patch you are also welcome to cut and bundle from! The lavender peaks in late June-beginning of July. If you continue through the orchard and follow the cut trail up the short steep hill, at the very tippy top we have a blue heart two-seater bench. We highly recommend a bottle of your favorite libation here at sunset. You can see miles and miles of farmland unfold. The barn was built the same year in 1896. Some of the floorboards are a little wobbly so we ask that you do not go in, as we cannot guarantee its safety. You are however welcome to look inside and admire the sun dappled rays spilling through its old grand walls. The farmhouse is located near the road and you will hear traffic passing by. If you are thinking about hosting a small pre-wedding event, anniversary party, or small birthday party we do allow daytime events with 50 people or less including the overnight house guests. $1000 one-day event fee which includes portapotty.
