Nestled in a breathtaking valley overlooking the amazing views of the mountains & a lavender hill. A barn that has been re-imagined/repurposed into a creative space & gorgeous eco-friendly cabin. W/ vaulted ceilings, loft & fully outfitted kitchen. In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains but only 10 min to downtown & Blue Ridge Parkway. Unplug & relax w/ a good book, treat yourself to 5* restaurants, local breweries & shops. A stylish mountain cabin retreat. A super unique and sustainable barn cabin- A repurposed and well designed old horse barn built from wood sourced on the property! Very environmentally focused throughout the whole remodel process. The cabin has solar panels, on demand electric hot water, passive solar, individually spaced HVAC w/ mini splits, sustainable natural ventilation, water catchment system for lavender hill, composting, closed cell insulation, and more. The space is great for eco-tourists wanting to keep their carbon footprint low. The barn has a mountain cabin look and design while sticking w/ that horse barn feel & all the modern amenities. Bringing the mountains into the space is the goal. We love that you will look out one direction and see the lavender hill & the other direction and see the Appalachian Mountains. Also, have privacy for an evening fire or dinner outside on the patio. But please be aware that noise travels in the mountains and quiet times are 9pm-8am Asheville is an outdoor adventure lover's paradise. The area is home to millions of acres of forests, 40 mountain peaks above 6,000 feet and the world's third oldest river and the Appalachian Mountains are older than bones. Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains you will, of course, find favorite outdoor activities such as great hiking, biking and rafting. But Asheville is no ordinary place. Unique and unusual experiences are what the city is known for, and when it comes to the great outdoors, it's no exception. The listing does not do the loft justice. So peaceful, so many nice touches inside and out. Wonderful space to be revived by nature. Pristine.
My family and I had the sweetest stay. Perfect location with cute bear visitors walking through the woods.
We spent 4 nights with our two little people (5 and almost 4) at The Hidden Flower while visiting my cousin who lives in Asheville. The location was an easy 10-12 minute drive to downtown Asheville, where there was so much to do/see. We were also about an hour to DuPont State Park which was an incredible family hike, and the breathtaking views of Mt. Pisgah. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and kept to themselves unless we had a question. The space was immaculate and was well stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware, and appliances. The scenery, was perfect. We enjoyed our coffee on the private back porch in the morning as the sun peered up over the mountains. We enjoyed a nice fire out back as well, as it had recently rained. And, one of my favorite features was taking a hot bath in the tub outside. When we return, we will 10/10 stay here again based on everything mentioned and many other thoughtful touches.
Beautiful spot in north Asheville. Great location that was also very quiet and private. Very clean and cozy. Highly recommend staying in this beautiful renovated barn for your visit to Asheville.

We are the King family. We spend our days working on the lavender gardens, projects for our business, painting murals around the town, and raising our daughter. We love living in the mountains of Appalachia. Celeste grew up here and loves these mountains.
