My son was very proud to have found Casa Maya. It is a special peaceful place, away from the tourist trail. Located in the woods there is an abundance of bird life and nature that was thrilling for us. Humming birds to what looked like eagles and every coloured bird in between. The pool is delicious and quite luxurious, the house is really well equipped and extremely comfortable. We loved our stay and all agreed that it was the best place we stayed in during our three week tour of Mexico. Xocchel is close to amazing cenotes and a perfect base to travel to Chichen Itza and Izmal Mayan ruins. One particular jewel for us was Yaxuna where there is a superb Mayan archeological site and the best cenote we had the pleasure of swimming in. Finally although Xocchel has no restaurants ask Milton, our champion host, to direct you to Alexjandras home cooked food and be prepared for an extraordinary taste sensation, my kids couldn't get enough of her exquisit tortas. The secret is out. Go there.

the house was great lovely peaceful stay in a natural environment, xocchel and nearby hoctum are really cool places. chichen it's isn't far nor is izamal, so it's a good base for day trips. the pool was great. Milton and his family are really responsive and made the stay great. waking up to sounds of birds is always nice. thanks also to the groundskeeper who is on hand. would make a great place to come with family and friends for a BBQ and celebration

We are family of 4 travelling from Canada. Two daughters ages 3 & 7 yrs old. The community of Xocchel welcomed us with open arms. Our Spanish is not great but it all worked out. Our daughters had the best time. We all did. Love is universal and the community showed us that. Some of the happiest, kindest most peaceful people we have ever met. We have decided to stay much longer and absolutely love being in the natural setting. ❤️ Thank you Milton, Lucio and the Xocchel community for welcoming us and making our time and experience at “The Ranch” so wonderful.
