We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could stay longer! the apartment is so beautifully presented and immaculately clean. It had everything you could wish for or need and everything was high quality - the crockery, mugs, cutlery (the knives were even sharp, which seems to be uncommon for holiday rentals). A beautiful welcome hamper was well received after a long drive. The apartment is in the middle of a row of apartments above a row of shops, but once inside and even on the balcony, you feel completely secluded and private. It is very close to all the amenities and fabulous views of the sea. We spent many a while watching the tide coming in and out as surfers rode the waves until sunset. Porthtowan is a lovely little place with plenty going on but not heaving with tourists. It is a great spot with easy access to other parts of Cornwall. Eve and Mike were great hosts, very pro-active and responsive. We already cannot wait to plan our return.

We absolutely loved staying here. The location right next to the beach and footpaths was amazing. We loved hearing the waves. A wonderful goody basket was waiting for us t on provide some treats upon check in. The place seemed like a brand new renovation and had the bells and whistles in terms of technology.

We absolutely loved our stay! It’s the perfect spot for a getaway with friends or would work for a small family. The location is wonderful with beautiful cliffs on either side of the village. We loved being able to step out the back door, around the corner and straight onto the beach. We enjoyed walking along the cliffs and the location is perfect for exploring the Cornwall coast. Every detail of the apartment has been thought through with wonderful luxurious touches such as linen gowns and bedding. The beds were also incredible comfortable. Eve was friendly and super responsive and went above and beyond - leaving us a delicious hamper filled with Cornish treats, fresh bread and bottles of wine. Thank you so much Eve! We can’t wait to come back soon x

Eve was a fantastic host, communication from the outset was first class. The apartment was extremely comfortable and modern. The welcome gift of fresh scones, bread,jam and cream and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge upon arrival was a lovely surprise. The location was amazing, waking up to the sound of the ocean was so nice. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much Eve, Alan.

We had a lovely stay in this cosy, luxurious apartment. The weather was wild and windy while we were there so it was important to have a warm, comfortable place to come back to after a wet walk or a swim in the sea (we swam on New Year’s day!). The apartment was small but beautifully- designed and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen which is rare in Airbnb rentals. The view of the sea was wonderful, I could have stared at it all day. Porthtowan is small but it has a well-stocked shop and there were three eating places open nearby, which was a surprise given that we were there over New Year. The weather stopped us from exploring the area as much as we would have liked, but it’s a good excuse to come back in the summer when, hopefully, we would be able to sit on the balcony and look at the sea.
