Conveniently located for M4/M5 motorways, Aztec West, Filton, Oldbury Power Station and both Severn Bridges. Bristol, Gloucester, Newport and Cardiff are all within easy reach. This comfortable double-sized bedroom in our recently renovated home is just a ten-minute walk to Thornbury’s historic High Street with its variety of shops and places to eat. Supermarkets and leisure centre are nearby. You are welcome to use our kitchen/diner and one off-street parking space. Overlooking trees, the first floor room is ideal for a professional working locally but wants to stay somewhere with a slightly rural feel. The room is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe hanging space, chest of drawers and easy chair. The bathroom, shared with myself and my husband, has a shower cubicle, WC and washbasin. Towels are provided. Downstairs, you will have shared access to our kitchen/diner with use of a microwave oven and fridge and to our utility with use of washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, you will have available one off-street parking space (sorry, no electric charging point)

The property is located about halfway round a small crescent with about 40 houses. As a result, it is a quiet and light traffic setting where children can sometimes be seen playing in the street.
There is a pathway immediately adjacent to the garage leading down to a public pathway set in woodland that meanders around the town and provides two ways in which to walk into the town high street.
Local houses are mainly occupied by families and retired couples.
In addition to the driveway parking, on-street parking is freely available but due to the narrowness and curve of the road, consideration needs to be shown in parking so as not to obstruct the flow of traffic.
Like any towns, Thornbury can be busy early morning and evening and also at school pickup times.

I live in Thornbury near Bristol with my husband Bill. Having retired a few years ago, we now enjoy travelling together and discovering new places. With family and friends there, New Zealand and Australia are frequent destinations but if we’re in Europe, we usually have our little touring caravan in tow. When at home, I am usually playing golf or the rapidly growing sport, pickleball! Being Yorkshire born and bred, I’m friendly by nature!
