Ripton · 酒店内的房间 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住3人 · Edward Hopper at Chipman Inn
An artistically inspired room, showcasing the brilliance of Edward Hopper. This room features a luxurious king-sized bed and an additional cozy twin bed. Infused with natural light, the room gives off an ambiance that echoes the scenic brilliance often depicted in Hopper's works, some of which were inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Vermont. The room is also equipped with a private bathroom with a stall shower.
Elizabeth's place was great for our mother-daughter get away. It had such a charming feel. The beds were so comfortable!
Staying at the Chipman Inn with Elizabeth was truly wonderful! From the second I stepped inside I felt at home. Elizabeth welcomed me with a hot cup of tea (on a cold and rainy night, mind you) and introduced me to some of the other guests staying at the inn. Her encouragement of building a sense of community for the guests was so refreshing and added so much to bed and breakfast experience. As a solo traveler this really made all the difference to me. I met so many wonderful people during my short stay, and I cannot wait to go back! The atmosphere at Chipman reminds me so much of Lorelei’s inn on Gilmore Girls, and just feels nostalgic. Every last detail was so well thought out and I could not have been happier with booking this stay. Highly highly recommend!!
Nice host, clean B&B with a good breakfast. We thought it was a bit pricey but we were there during the peak of fall foliage season so we understand. Also, we had a larger, more costly room, as it was the only room available. We don’t believe there is a restaurant in the very small town where the B&B is located so it is a good idea to eat dinner before you check in.
Ripton, a quaint town nestled in Addison County, Vermont, is a gem that blends natural splendor with rich cultural heritage. Enveloped by dense forests, serene meadows, and babbling brooks, its landscapes are a testament to the idyllic beauty that characterizes much of Vermont. Perhaps one of the most notable residents of Ripton was the celebrated poet Robert Frost. His former cabin, now a beacon for literature enthusiasts, stands as a testament to his legacy, complemented by the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail which features excerpts from his poetry. Moreover, Ripton is home to the Bread Loaf campus of Middlebury College. This institution hosts the prestigious Bread Loaf School of English and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, transforming the town into a literary hub during the summer months and drawing scholars, writers, and students from across the globe. Beyond its literary allure, Ripton offers a plethora of recreational activities. From hiking trails in the Green Mountain National Forest to skiing and appreciating the breathtaking fall foliage, it's a haven for outdoor aficionados. The essence of Ripton, however, lies in its community. With its modest population, the town fosters a close-knit bond among residents, evident in the communal events and palpable camaraderie. Embodying the quintessential Vermont experience, Ripton's classic New England architecture, charming general stores, and unhurried lifestyle serve as a delightful retreat from the frenetic pace of urban living.
