The house is an 1-1.5 hours from most of the high peaks of Vermont (Mansfield, Jays, Ellen/Abraham, Camels Hump). There are some steep windy roads to those mountains so have 4 wheel drive or all wheel if going in the winter months. There is internet in the house but it appears to be a satellite connection so it is unreliable. It seems like that is the case for the town/county though. The fireplace is not usable per the text description despite photos having it in use. One should bring their own coffee maker, the two at the house were not usable. The bathrooms worked well. If going in winter be cautious of ice ruts on the road. There's 2 miles of dirt/ice road driving to get to the house. The house has DVDs which can be watched while the internet is not working. Harry potter is scratched so I recommend a different film than that. You also may want to bring some forks. There were 3 forks when we were there (3 of us stayed there, not sure if it is planned as a fork per person).

Oliver's place was very sweet and comfortable for our group. It had what we needed to cook the view was gorgeous. There were really only two cons: there was mold in two of the bedrooms, which bothered one our parties allergies and the wood burning stove was not available for use. Overall, I'd stay here again but advise the you have 4 wheel drive if you're coming up in mud season (or this soft winter)

A beautiful and cozy place. Be prepared to disconnect! There is limited cell phone service, and wi-fi is veeeeeeeery sloooooow. If I could re-do the experience I would have prepared by downloading some movies in advance. (Not sure if the cell service and wi-fi is particular to this air bnb though. I think it may be a Vermont thing?)
