Located on a quiet, residential cul-de-sac, with the friendliest of Northumberland neighbours and a relaxed 3-minute wander to the beach. The entire house has just undergone *full* redecoration. It has been fitted out with a stylish mix of brand new and vintage mid-century modern furniture, along with brand new appliances from quality brands. We think you will appreciate all the features of the house that will help you have the most enjoyable and stress-free stay possible. The living room features comfortable seating for six. Enjoy your time together with the stock of family board games and puzzles. Enjoy movie nights with the brand new 50” 4k UHD QLED Android smart TV with a range of streaming services (including Netflix & Disney+). The well-stocked kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, fan oven and 4-burner gas hob, as well as a smart speaker for entertainment and info. The discrete utility room features a brand new washing machine, dryer, and freezer. No need for cold, wet swimwear the next morning. Patio doors flood the kitchen/dining room with light, and lead straight out into the good-sized private rear garden, for your alfresco morning coffee. The garden features a lawn and patio area, with seating, gas BBQ and dining space to enjoy good food and great company whilst relaxing in the sun and sea air. Upstairs, all beds are solid wood, with new mattresses. Bedrooms are big enough to include loads of wardrobe and drawer space for your clothes and personal belongings. The master bedroom features a top-quality, 1000 pocket-sprung, king sized bed and en-suite shower room. The second and third bedrooms can be set up in various combinations of singles, superking-sized doubles and twins. The main family bathroom is great for speedy beach-sand removal, or a relaxing soak, safe in the knowledge that the third, downstairs, WC avoids the queues for the loo. Even your arrival will be easy and hassle-free, as the driveway is right outside the front door and offers direct access to the garage. The internal garage is an ideal place to store your bikes, water sports gear or other “Toys”. No lugging bags down the street, or bikes up flights of steps, here! Even with six guests, there’s plenty of space for a furry friend or two, for dog beds/baskets, bowls and even the very muddiest post-walk clean-ups are a breeze with the back garden hose pipe.
Gary was an amazing host and our family of 5 very much enjoyed staying at his place. There were lots of things for the kids to play with, a delicious welcome package in a very clean and modern house. Gary was always very friendly and responsive to our questions. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Gary’s place. It was spotlessly clean. Beds are super comfy and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Gary was excellent at communicating everything we needed plus additional information about the local area. He left an amazing welcome pack and was even so kind as to leave us some gluten free goodies. The house is warm and homely, Gary was very helpful and friendly but also just left us to enjoy our break. The location is ideal for exploring Northumberland. Thank you for an amazing weekend!
Located on a cul-de-sac in a recently completed, and very quiet, residential neighbourhood beside the stunning South Beach, on the very south-east corner of the town. With beach-side cafe-bars, restaurants, ice-cream parlours, play areas and handy shops a 3-minute walk away.
The neighbourhood streets are quiet and the whole area is very flat, making it ideal for walking and cycling anywhere nearby. Segregated cycle routes make this accessible to all ages and abilities. The main NCN1 cycle route heads south through the dunes to Tyneside and North past the docks and Ridley Park to the town centre. Particular family favourites are the interlinking “waggon ways” network of cycle paths though the surrounding countryside. 200 years ago these carried coal from the pits that lay further inland to the boats waiting at the quaysides of Blyth and Tyneside. Nowadays they are wonderful cycle routes.
Road links are simply superb. Access to the A189 dual-carriageway, and wider National motorway network, is just 2 miles away. This puts day trips to Tyneside and deepest Northumberland within easy reach.
As well as the private driveway at the house, there is a good amount of shared visitor parking. The nearest Rapid DC chargers for electric vehicles are just at the beach in the free “Mermaid” public car park at the beach.
