No 5, Harbour View is in a great location with stunning views . A relaxing holiday with everything we needed. 😍
Love visiting Arran and this cottage was the perfect location to base ourselves. Right next to the beach in Blackwaterfoot which has great local shops and an amazing shoreline. The cottage was just right for our family of 6 and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island
A short stroll away is Blackwaterfoot’s wide sandy beach which ends at the dramatic Drumadoon cliffs and looks across to the Kintyre Peninsula. Alongside it is the world famous 12 hole Shiskine Golf Course. The clubhouse is open to the public for meals throughout the day. There is also pony trekking in the village at the Cairnhouse Centre.
There are a number of fine walks a short drive from the village including the delightful King’s Caves Forestry Walk, the atmospheric Machrie Moor Standing Stones walk and the Arran Coastal Trail. A little further afield you can climb Goatfell, one of Scotland’s most popular hills, and find challenging walking on the other spectacular mountains of North Arran.
The National Trust for Scotland’s Brodick Castle and Country Park is a destination with something for all the family with its fascinating stately home, beautiful gardens, signposted walks and superb children’s playground.
The Auchrannie Resort in Brodick has several restaurants, a spa, sports facilities and a swimming pool, all of which are open to the public. It also has a children’s play barn with a soft play area.
The house is one of the eight houses in the Harbourview Development in the middle of the village of Blackwaterfoot on the west coast of the island.
Visitors arriving at Brodick Pier should turn right as they leave the pier and follow the road through the village for about a mile until they reach the junction which leads to Blackwaterfoot. They should then follow the String Road across the island for about eight miles until they reach another junction. They should turn right here to reach the main part of the village, cross the bridge and the house is about 40m along the road on your right.
Visitors arriving on the Cloanaig- Lochranza ferry should take the coast road south for about eighteen miles until they reach Blackwaterfoot.
