Nawala is an up-market residential Suburb of Colombo and a cosmopolitan town encompassing all facilities. Supermarkets, restaurants, banks, fuel stations, book shops, grocery shops and many retailers of upmarket brands have made Nawala a landmark town.
A remarkable selection of restaurants can be found in Nawala. The eateries Steamboat, Station, Barracuda, Chopsticks, and Crossroads are conspicuously situated close to the intersection. They can easily be reached by foot or for less than $1 through a short tuk-tuk trip from the property.
From the junction turn right on the left is Sen-Sal Nawala, yet a popular restaurant cum bakery. Further down towards Nugegoda passing, The Open University of Sri Lanka, (OUSL) on the right is Sovereign German Restaurant popular for German cuisine.
You may walk to large supermarkets Glomark and Cargills, which are both 400 metres from the house, to get any groceries.
Kandawatte road located opposite the Wetland park, Nawala houses the famous Thiru Murugan's Food Waves serving vegetarian Indian cuisine.

You can access to the premises via Senanayake Mawatha (Old Nawala Road) from Nawala Road or Access to Nugegoda via Temple Road. Very easy access to Baseline Road, Kollupitiya or Rajagiriya.
The Tuk-Tuk is the most effective mode of transportation within Colombo. On the main road, there are also buses for public transportation. There are different bus routes you need to choose from depending on where you want to go.
For your rides, we suggest choosing Uber or Pickme because they are both affordable and dependable. Always pay with cash; if you choose a credit card, you may find that the driver does not show up.
Friendly drivers are available nearby for emergency rides, and the caretaker will arrange them if necessary.
PS: Please don't rely on the drivers to know the way because most of them don't. It is best to have Maps open for your personal peace of mind.
