The Mermaid: 600sq foot, private fully air-conditioned and playfully decorated ocean-themed cottage + 200sq foot Lanai front deck set up for outdoor sunset dining, with firepit, BBQ, plus beautiful garden. Super friendly and helpful host, beautiful area, and a perfect little cottage. The place was clean, tidy, and packed full of awesome suggestions for places to go and things to see. Our plans fell through and the trip didnt work out the way we had wanted, but Ceri's cottage and hospitality made it all worthwhile.
We had such a lovely time at Ceri’s place. It is adorable, clean and has the most spectacular views. There is something quite special about how Ceri has decorated the inside and the outside patio and gardens are magical. We plan to return and strongly recommend it.
What a beautiful little quaint space! We had 3 people and the extra bed was very comfortable. It was beautifully decorated, extremely clean, totally set up with full kitchen accessories and many little details were thought about. Cozy smaller space but worked well for us. Ceri and her husband were amazing hosts and went above and beyond for us. Would recommend!!
My mom and I had a wonderful stay at Ceri’s lovely place. Her place has wonderful views and a the space was clean and had lots of amnenities. Ceri was very thoughtful and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying and plan to return

A quiet, safe seaside community, Saltair is known for its beautiful setting and friendly people. Festivals take place all summer, with evening and weekend concerts, art and car shows, and activities in both Ladysmith and Chemainus, as well as the Chemainus murals and theatre close by.
Saltair is walkable, with both a long clean sandy beach, and hiking and biking parks and trails walking distance from the Mermaid. Most amenities including fine dining are easily reached by car within a 5-10 minute drive.
