Set well back from a quiet country road and sitting in its own large, leafy garden you will find this unaffected country home. A fantastic location to explore much of this beautiful rural corner of Suffolk. Stroll across the flower strewn common a stone's throw from the house. Enjoy Suffolk's stunning heritage coast, Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh in easy reach. Visit the historic market towns of Bungay, Halesworth and Harleston with their delis, independent shops and galleries. Hidden away, set well back from a quiet country road, you will find this lovely house. The living room and dining room have been recently knocked through to give a more spacious living area with French windows opening onto the back garden. New wood oak floors throughout downstairs, add to the light, streamlined feel of the place. The kitchen is unusually in a conservatory type room looking out onto the many shades of green in the garden. Upstairs all three bedrooms have newly painted floors. The largest bedroom overlooks All Saints Common and the east facing front garden. The back bedrooms overlook fields and the shady, tree filled back garden. Simply furnished throughout, in a cottage style, I hope you will find the house a place of peace and charm. In winter, you can enjoy a walk in the crisp frosty or misty mornings on the common, a mere stone’s throw from the house. The lovely market towns of Bungay, Halesworth and Harleston with their independent shops, galleries, delis and eateries, all just a short drive away. Likewise, Suffolk’s heritage coast with the delightful seaside resorts of Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh, easily reachable for a day out beside the sea. The cottage is simple and unfussy. It doesn’t claim to be all singing and dancing but has all basic requirements, unless you consider a dishwasher a basic requirement, we don’t have that! There might be areas in need of a new coat of paint or the pillow slips might not match exactly or the cutlery be rather random, but rest assured all is scrupulously clean and freshly laundered for your visit. I hope you will be able to relax here, put your feet up, read some of my books and enjoy not having to tiptoe around for fear of disturbing a set piece of a house. I live here much of the time so there are drawers and cupboards with some of my things in them but I have made arrangements for you to hang your clothes and store your food. A clean, empty fridge and drawers in the freezer for your use together with free shelves in the kitchen cupboard. There is reliable wifi and a new TV should you find yourselves seeking for further entertainment!
