A great place to break up the journey between Yorkshire and London, within easy reach of excellent pubs/restaurants. The flat is to be commended for its spaciousness and simple, minimal decor. Both bed and sofabed offer a good night's sleep. The shower is effective. The living room is well served with 2 wall heaters. The building in which the flat is situated is a reasonably well maintained double fronted red brick characterful, period house and the view over the banks of the Soar & beyond is magnificent. Ady's correspondence is clear, engaging, always punctual and occasionally proactive.

Perfectly adequate for what we wanted - somewhere to crash while visiting my sister. I stayed with my wife and two young daughters. After reading the latest reviews we were a bit nervous about the sleeping situation so we brought an inflatable mattress for our daughters, and a duvet for extra cushioning in the master bed. We’re glad we brought these as the sofa bed was rock hard and the master bed “springy” as described by previous guests. I wouldn’t recommend for four guests otherwise. Possibly a nice retreat for two and a pet. Couldn’t knock the cleanliness of the place though. If the host forked out on some better quality furnishings and maybe a bigger dining table it would easily be four or even five stars.

We stayed here for over a month with our 3 cats which Ady was very lovely to agree to let stay with us (we were emergency evacuated after flooding at the start of the year). Ady was very flexiable with us to keep extending our visit as our situation kept changing rapidly with the state of our house in Loughborough. Ady was understanding and helpful. The neighbours we spoke to in the building were friendly too. Lovely views across the fields of the horses and right in the middle of Barrow and Sileby. We did taxi it into Loughborough a few times to visit our local Loughborough pubs and found the taxi prices to be reasonable (usually around £8) if you want more of busier nightlife. Only downside was the bed was super uncomfortable so we did bring our mattress topper with us as staying for a over a month and I'm prone to back issues the topper helped the stay be more comfortable. Would still stay again in the future and would recommend to our friends and family.

Beautiful flat, very clean couldn’t fault a single thing with cleanliness! Check in was smooth and easy as was check out, communication with Ady was spot on always replied quickly answering and questions or worries. My only negative would be not ideal for four people if staying any longer than 1 night, the pull out sofa was very small and not comfortable at all. Would definitely return if it was just the two of us.

The flat is a good size with a nice modern kitchen area and bathroom and parking out front but we found it quite cold and uncomfortable. This is a lovely old house with original windows but the space is only heated with small storage heaters and there are no soft furnishings to help warm up the space (although we were there in winter, so may be different in summer). The bed was a little uncomfortable and could do with a mattress topper to smooth out the springs but the bedding was warm and cosy and the bedding and towels were soft and smelled really fresh and lovely. Good for one night (2 adults and a toddler) and perfect location for visiting my family but probably won’t stay again.
