A newly renovated townhouse with sleek modern style. Within walking distance of all downtown attractions, restaurants and bars, including State Capitol building, the convention center, Trade Co. Food Hall, Marbles Kid Museum, Lincoln Theater, Red Hat Amphitheater, and Historic City Market. Two bedrooms with queen size beds on second floor. Master bedroom has vaulted ceilings, wall to wall closet, and connects with the full bathroom. A great back deck with direct access to the Greenway park. **Please read about the neighborhood in section at bottom of page before booking** Enjoy drinks on the deck, overlooking the Greenway and an unobstructed view of downtown as the sun goes down and the skyscrapers light up. Wake up surrounded by green open space: oldest cemetery in Raleigh across the street, the Greenway (series of interconnecting parks) directly on your side, and a view of downtown skyline from bedroom window. Enjoy a Keurig coffee in the morning. Go for a jog on the paved Greenway trail inches from your front door, which gives you access to over 100 miles of paved trails that make a huge loop around Raleigh through a series of interconnected parks and riverside paths. Walk 4 minutes down the aforementioned Greenway to get the most coveted bagels in Raleigh from Benchwarmers Bagels in the Trade Co Food Hall. Rent an electric scooter (found parked around downtown) or a bike from the city bike share, and ride to nearby State Capitol to see the memorial statues. Get a drink from one of the many breweries nearby, including Bhavana Brewery and Trophy Brewing. Walk the cobblestones streets of Historic City Market. Or stay in and watch a movie.

Chris was a great host. Was able to accommodate my guests and I on very short notice. Was a little nervous of the area but was a very quiet stay. It was an overall good short stay.

(Please read all of the following before booking) This is a really cute and central spot with great walking access to all downtown Raleigh has to offer! There are lots of great restaurants and breweries very close by. The house is directly next to a lovely green walking trail that leads to a new food hall and downtown hot spots, giving the area an open feel for being downtown.
Please keep in mind this is city-living, so if you aren't used to staying downtown please be aware: neighbors are a mix of poor and extremely wealthy, as is typical with most downtowns. The townhouses directly next door were former low-income housing. Many of them have been renovated like mine to garner high rents. Some of the old poorer residents still live in neighboring townhouses. A block away from the place away from downtown is a lower-income neighborhood, but a block the other direction towards downtown are luxury high-rent condos. The street nearby is a main throughway to downtown, so there is an above average amount of walking traffic, ranging from hipsters going to bars to working class people walking to jobs.
I want you to enjoy your stay in Raleigh and I hope this place is a great fit for you! I feel, and my friends who live nearby, feel extremely safe here. But I understand everyone has their own standard for safety and that is my top priority for you. Enjoy Raleigh!
From the airport, a Lyft is estimated to be $17 and up. Or you can take the airport bus (GoTriangle Route 100) for $2.50 directly to GoRaleigh Station, which is a 7 minute walk to my place.
If you are taking the train into town, my place is a 20 minute walk from the downtown Amtrak station.
Most all of downtown is an easy walk from my place, and if you want to get further out, you can do so with an easy $1 bus ride by walking 7 minutes to the GoRaleigh Station.
If you are driving, you can park for free in the off-street parking lot directly in front of the townhouse, or on the street for free if you have multiple cars. The back deck gives direct access to the Greenway, so when walking downtown this is the best way to enter and exit.
