Llanfyllin is a quaint village that can supply you with all your needs, since it is located in the heart of the beautiful Cain Valley, surrounded by hills and the Berwyn Mountains. Y Dolydd, a workhouse from the early 19th century that was featured on the BBC Restoration show, is located in this area, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and features a wide range of building types. Fabulous hiking and biking trails may be found in the Berwyn Mountains and in the hills of Llangynog. The beautiful Lake Vyrnwy, with its colourful mountains in the background and fascinating nature reserve, is not far away, and neither is the lively market town of Welshpool, with its many stores, art galleries, and excellent dining options. Powys Castle and its renowned gardens are worth a visit, as is the nearby Llanrhaeadr Waterfall, which plunges from a height of 240 feet and is surrounded by enchanted woods and towering cliffs. Excellent base for trips to the nearby Shropshire Borders and scenic Mid Wales.
