This newly restored 1888 cottage in Historic Downtown Natchez is located two blocks from main street and two blocks from the Mississippi River bluff. The perfect combination of original Victorian Italianate architecture and modern décor. Walking distance to Main Street shopping, downtown restaurants, historic antebellum homes, City Hall, the Federal Courthouse, and the MS River bluff festival venues. The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located spacious home. The National Historic Register cottage is 2300 square feet of living space with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, laundry room, and open central hallway downstairs. The upstairs space includes a tv/entertainment area, two built-in queen beds and a large full bathroom. There are front and back porches with swings, rocking chairs, and rattan furniture for enjoying nice weather.

Katie’s Cottage is picturesque! The pictures and descriptions do not do this cottage justice. We were blown away with the cottage and its history. It was in immaculate condition, clean and cozy. Denise was a terrific host; very quick to respond and quick to take action if it was needed. I cannot recommend this place enough. What are you doing reading the reviews?!?!? BOOK THIS PLACE ALREADY! I am definitely going to come back! Loved it and made lots of memories.
We loved our stay!! In town for a family wedding, it was so nice to have a space to relax and spread out. The porch was perfect to visit with family! Everything was exactly as pictured and Deniese responded quickly to everything. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area!

Located two blocks from the river in the Natchez On-Top-Of-The Hill Historic District that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Katie's Cottage is located in the original section of Natchez near the oldest intersection along the Mississippi River. Many of the historic homes surrounding the cottage date back to the 1790s-1880s. Notable historical homes and buildings within a 2 block radius of the cottage are Holly Hedges, the Griffith-McComas House, the Coyle House, Texada (the Spanish governors residence), Governor Holmes House (the British governor’s residence), Greenlea, Pleasant Hill, and Magnolia Hall.
Natchez has an impressive and remarkably old town area which is composed primarily of 19th century buildings. Older even than New Orleans, Natchez, during the 19th century, was politically, commercially, and culturally pre-eminent in the region which now includes Mississippi and upper Alabama. The boundaries of the Natchez-on-Top-of-the-Hill Historic District are based on the street grid plan of the Spanish as depicted on the 1864 Map of the Defenses of Natchez.
