Building posted by LA City Housing dept as unsafe with un permitted plumbing and other work. Took photo of it—next day it disappeared. Old house divided into multiple (5 or more) units. Tile on entry steps broken and taped down. Tarp covering part of the roof instead of repairing the roof—making mold a potential danger. Broken bathroom cabinet partly off hinges. Very thin walls-/can hear conversations next door. Neighbors complained for years about the place based o my conversations. Spoke to other guests leaving who were also unhappy.

Extremely pleasant stay at this apartment. Clean and comfortable in a very good location. Handy for venice beach. Comfortable bed and good shower.

This place looked much nicer from the photos. We were disappointed to find old food in the oven. The window in the front door had a crack in it and didn't feel 100% secure. Walls are thin and you can hear others in the next door rooms. Cheap furnishings. If you are looking for a roof over your head this will do. The bed is soft. And the location is good, even though it is different from the one originally advertised. Responsive host (management company) that did respond quickly. Overall didn't feel like we got much value for money considering the price tag.
