Nestled on a creek, this cabin sits in close proximity to the Appalachian Trail and Nantahala National Forest that is full of trails, creeks, and so many other mountain adventures with Franklin just a short drive away. If looking to relax, you'll enjoy a living room with a magnificent wall of glass doors that flood the space with natural light. Throughout the house, you'll find a timeless atmosphere to curl up with a good book, break out those board games, or enjoy a relaxing movie night. This is a rural cabin built in the 1970s so it has charming features like pocket doors, wood paneling, wall sconces, gas fireplace, and radiant heaters. Theres no wifi and sometimes cell service can be questionable so if looking for all the modern day amenities like Netflix, central heat, or delivery pizza this may not be the place for you. If the thought of having coffee on the porch listening to leaves and the creek below or seeing deer, turkey, foxes, or, if you are really really lucky, a black bear or two right outside the windows with access to hundreds of miles of trails just a mountain minute away excites you, this is absolutely the place for you!

Was a great place to stay! Very clean. Lots of places to see and plenty of things to do nearby. Surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.

This AirBNB was in a beautiful location- especially beautiful with the fall foliage surrounding it. The home was very clean and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked well. The main bedroom queen bed was comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and pillows provided. The twin beds unfortunately are rock hard and I would not recommend planning on having an adult sleep there. I bought two 1 inch foam mattress pads to pile on top of the mattress I slept on just to be able to sleep through the night. The first night I tossed and turned and woke up with a very stiff back. Also, be aware the home is in a remote location with very poor or non-existent cell signal (the person I travelled with had a different cellular provider- he had 1-2 bars of very slow service and I had none). There is no wi-fi provided or available and there is no satellite or cable hook-up for the tv either. You will be completely cut off from the outside world when you are at the house.
