Nestled in 4 acres of pines & just 8 min from historic downtown Franklin & right next to Parker Meadows Park! While the day away at this beautiful park with batting cages, pickleball, playground & 1-mile loop. Float the creek in our tubes or go fishing! Then, come back to the lodge & relax on the front porch swing. Lounge in the hammock by the small stream and waterfall. Sit by our pond & watch the sun dip behind the mountains. Come see why Tsuga Lodge is the perfect family vacation spot! Tsuga Lodge is named for the majestic Hemlock Pines on our property (Tsuga=genus of Hemlock). There is so much to explore here! =] The pond- We love the pond! There are frogs and small fish and it's lovely to watch the sun set over the mountains. The hammock by the small creek & waterfall- Dip your toes in the cool creek, relax in the hammock while listeninig to the flow of the water. Read a book, take a nap, enjoy the peace. (We are also working on creating a space for a fire pit!) Parker Meadows Park- We have never seen a more beautiful, well-maintained park, with so much to do! Very much a safe, friendly, family-oriented park. At the park: * Pickleball- play with a group mwf 9- noon (summer months 8-noon) or borrow 2 paddles, balls and portable net and play whenever the courts are free. Equipment stored in laundry room. Please return when finished. * Basketball. the same courts above share backboards and hoops. * Tubing at park- the Cartoogechaye Creek borders the park. Cool off in the creek by putting in by the boat dock and floating down about 15 minutes to the opposite end of the park. The shaded walkway back is quick and makes for the perfect loop for families. Borrow our 2 tubes and floating cooler and creek towels if you like. Tubes are on far (West) side of lodge beside the hose. Please rinse tubes if needed and hang back up. :) Leave creek towels to dry over porch rail. (Check out Deep Creek in Bryson City for more tubing)
自我介绍
In 2020, my wife Wendy and I sold everything and moved from Tampa up to the mountains of western North Carolina. Wendy and I spent the pandemic building a tiny house by hand. We love it here. I play ultimate frisbee competitively and coach at Western Carolina University. I work as a commercial photographer throughout the US. In 2023, we purchased Tsuga Lodge and have been lovingly restoring it and it’s beautiful property ever since.
