Take it easy at this unique and tranquil mountain getaway. Our comfortable and spacious home is nestled in the Nantahala Mountains 12 miles west of Franklin, NC. It is in a cool, quiet, and safe area where we hear the birds sing. Wild flowers are everywhere. We can relax and appreciate peace of mind. Fill free to walk in the unkempt roadway areas. You may see wild turkeys or a deer and other critters but not likely a black bear. Our properties border the Nantahala National Forest.
House was very nice. It had beautiful views, a comfy atmosphere and a great host. Our family came for Thanksgiving and the table was all decorated and set for us to enjoy. Driveway was a little tricky, but other than that I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a hideaway in the mountains.
Incredible home for a large family (ours was 2 adults and 4 children, ages 14-6). The home has a warm, cozy feel, plenty of sitting areas, an easy-to-use fireplace, fully loaded kitchen, and in perfectly nestled in the woods. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, cups of tea and coffee, and plenty of board and card games as the large kitchen table. The location is easy to get to. Once you learn the driveway, it is a cinch. Downtown Franklin was great, the multitude of trails in Standing Indian State Park, which is just down the road, were perfect for day hikes, and October is a great time to visit with the beauty of leaf changes. The value of this AirBnB can't be touched. Highly recommend.
This was our second stay in this house and it is convenient and the location is pretty. Easy checkin and great communication! Thanks!
Nolan’s place was exactly as described. The house was equipped with everything we need. The co-host Jeanette was very responsive. We left some clothing she even offered to mail them to us. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
