We loved our stay at Chapel Farm. Ruben and Changwen were wonderful welcoming hosts. Ruben greeted us at the gate and gave us a tour. The newly renovated chapel building where we stayed was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make simple dinners, and we enjoyed breakfast on our private patio. We were thrilled to be able to use the washer and the plentiful outdoor clotheslines as soon as we arrived. They provided a welcome basket of wine, bottled water, and freshly made banana bread, which was delicious. They gave us permission to visit all the farm's animals (miniature goats, ducks, chickens, geese, guinea fowl, cats and dogs), harvest fruits and vegetables, and enjoy the pool. One of the reasons we chose this place was because of its proximity to a couple of the best birdwatching areas near the Tagus River, and we were not disappointed. Ruben had some great suggestions for birding locations. Highly recommended!

We had a good stay at the Quinta, even though the weather was quite bad and our son got sick. Luckily the nicely renovated Chapel was clean, cosy and well equipped. We didn't use the pool, since the weather was too bad. The garden is nice. it's fun to have some animals around (chicken, goats etc), but be aware of the dog; she's really playful and likes to jump at the car (which could cause scratches on your rental). We didn't like the area/surrounding too much, but I guess if the weather's nice you can easily chill and relax at the pool. about the host: Ruben is a super friendly and helpful host, he always responds very quickly. So, all together: for us, staying at the Quinta is recommended, but especially when the sun is out! ;)

Rubén and Changwens place is a wonderful retreat, we had such a relaxing and enjoyable time, our hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic, the dogs had a great time playing with zola and kika in the courtyard, we would highly recommend a tranquil holiday here

This place was ideal for me. My dog Flynn loved playing with the resident dogs. The whole property was enclosed so I could let him run free. Ruben is one of the best airbnb hosts I've ever met. The whole place is just perfect - really well maintained. Ruben gave me countless links for good bird watching in the area. The other guests were really friendly - in fact we did a meal in the communal kitchen with a roaring fire one evening. I really did not want to leave!
