Zilker is a super walkable neighborhood, and my favorite location in Austin if you're outdoorsy and want to explore. Just a quick jog down the road is the walking trail that goes all along the riverfront of Austin. Zilker Park (a great spot to have a picnic, play volleyball, bring your dog, etc.) is right down the street as well. If you get hot you can jump into the Barton Springs Pool which is a 1 acre natural spring fed pool that is consistently a crisp 68 degrees, so even on those hot days you can feel instantly cool! There's a great bakery right around the corner called ThoroughBread. You'll be just a few minute walk away from some of the best restaurants in Austin on South Lamar. Also, the Laundromat is a convenient 1 minute walk away. You're right in the heart of Austin!

Zilker is a walkable neighborhood on the South side of the river from Downtown Austin. There are usually rentable scooters scattered around the neighborhood if you're comfortable riding those. You can walk if you don't mind that, or you could take an Uber/Lyft.
