The Granary is located on a working farm at Duchess Farms in Sawbridgeworth. Ideally close to Sawbridgeworth Train Station and Stansted Airport. It’s a busy place but at the same time tranquil. We also have a make up and photography studio on site if you are heading off to a party or a wedding. We have a secluded lake on the farm and will furnish you with a map and a picnic bag so that you can enjoy the beauty of the Capability Brown Landscape. Or, great pubs , all walking distance. The room is an open plan beauty with a smart bathroom including underfloor heating and a luxury roll top bath. The small kitchen houses a fridge freezer a toaster, coffee machine, kettle and i will leave basic food items so you can prepare a light breakfast or uncork a bottle of wine when you arrive.

A great stay at heathers place. She was lovely and communicated really well, even got something from the shop for me which was super lovely. The barn is SO beautiful! Everything you could possibly want or need. The only thing I would say is that you’re in the middle of lots of activity around the barn as it’s in between the family house and their sons barn, so there was lots of noise/activity outside - this didn’t bother us so it was totally fine but if you’re hoping for a private place in including outdoor area it didn’t feel like that. But personally we weren’t bothered and loved our stay in the barn - thanks so much Heather :)
Had a delightful stay at the Granary .Helen is an amazing host , goes above and beyond to cater for all your needs . The beamed barn is so cozy , scented candles add to the ambiance, essentials in fridge on arrival , nice large shower & bath , good comfy bed .Perfect location for restuarant, train station nearby , great for exploring small towns , antique market & countryside .Most relaxing stay perfect , Thank you Heather & family .

Such a beautiful building, comfortable bed, hot shower, lots of space, and super fast broadband. A wonderful stay with very helpful videos from Heather beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect and where to go when we arrived. Thank you!

Sawbridgeworth is a well connected place but has the feel of a big village. Masses of pubs, restaurants and a small supermarket. The river stort is 10 mins away and the towpath allows leisurely, scenic walks along the river.
It takes 15 mins by car to get to Stansted.
Its a 20 min walk from Sawbridgeworth train station, there is plenty of parking at the farm, and outside the Granary. You can also walk into Sawbo town where there are a lot of pubs, pharmacy and supermarkets.

We are super lucky to have acquired a small villa on Lake Como and for anyone looking you have found a truly magical place. In the real world I am based in the UK with my husband John on his family farm in Sawbridgeworth. A busy beautiful place where my sons also operate their varied businesses, We have decided to convert some of our small dwellings into holiday lets, and really hope you enjoy sharing them with us.
