Are you looking for a quiet, peaceful…but convenient getaway? Right at the entrance to the New River Gorge National Park? New River View is just around the bend on the New River. Enjoy the serenity of the river as it flows between the hills of West Virginia. It’s a peaceful scene from your private porch swing with its fire pit, gas grill and plenty of yard for your pets and kids to run and play. We offer a newly remodeled apartment that sleeps 6 and has its own private entrance and patio/porch. All that you need to feel right at home is provided including a washer and dryer. You enjoy the convenience of being in town, close to restaurants and the gateway to the park but very quiet surroundings. You’ll appreciate your morning coffee (from our dual coffee maker) on the porch swing being entertained by our family of beautiful red birds greeting you with their song. We invite you to visit us and take advantage of all that the New River Gorge National Park has to offer. We are just a few blocks from river access and 15 minutes from Bluestone Lake with its fishing and boating. Pipestem Resort Park offers golfing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, biking and ATV trails…all within a few minutes of your private space.

Terrific host! words would not fully describe the beauty of the surroundings and the relaxation and calmness of this beautiful place. The guest house is quaint and homey and very well furnished. The view is beautiful great restaurants, nearby, and plenty to do and seein the outdoors.
Nicely furnished home, comfortable beds, everything worked as it should. Great fenced-in yard for the dogs. Beautiful river views.
Had a great stay at Sonja's on our visit to Hinton. The living space was immaculate with nice furniture, a well stocked kitchen and cozy living room with gas fireplace. There's even a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry, so that was a bonus. You can see the river from the back and even hear the trains as they go by. It's a quiet location within short distance to downtown. We had a question about something and Sonja was very responsive. If you're planning a trip to Hinton, I'd highly recommend Sonja's place.
We loved the stunning view and waking up to the sound of birds and rushing water. The hosts thought of so many details. They even had a first aid kit which my clumsy self was thankful for. We brought our dog and loved that they had a dog blanket and a fenced in yard. Very cozy/charming home, almost like a cabin escape in a rural area.

I've been a business owner for 50 years. Both my co-host, Teresa and I love the hospitality business! We put the interests...and comfort of our guests as our priority. We feel good when our guests are satisfied and happy. I started out with our family company making natural products from essential oils and have transitioned into being a SuperHost.
